Scrapbook-Elements Tutorials

We suggest the use of a graphics program for digital scrapbooking rather than one of the programs meant more for desktop publishing. Our favorite program to recommend is Adobe Photoshop Elements. However, programs such as Microsoft Publisher, Sierra Print Artist, Broderbund Print Shop or any of the scrapbooking programs can be a place to start to get the feel of creating a scrapbook page using a computer. You will find that eventually you will probably want to move to a more complete program, but start with the basics as this *is* supposed to be fun!

Listed on the left are tutorials that have been created for your use. They are divided by program. However, if there is not a tutorial for your particular program, you might still be able to benefit by reading through the other tutorials to get an idea of how a particular task is accomplished and then adapt it within your program. We hope to cover the basic questions that a new digital scrapbooker might have and also help the paper scrapper learn methods for using the products sold at Scrapbook-Elements to enhance their scrapbook pages and other print projects. Most tutorials are in .pdf format and can easily be printed for future reference. To use pdf files, you must have a current version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can get a copy here. We recommend having Acrobat Reader open .pdf files instead of allowing your browser to open them. This may require changing the preferences in your browser to allow Acrobat Reader to open them as the browsers are usually set by default to open .pdf files.
